New ATESEA Board reviews actions of the General Assembly

The newly elected members of the ATESEA Board of Trustees met on August 5-6, 2017 at the Bangkok Christian Guest House, Bangkok, Thailand to discuss updates, transitions and future programs of the Association. The Board members deliberated on matters regarding the adjustments to be done during the transition in the set-up of ATESEA Theological Union (ATU), and Asia Journal of Theology (AJT). They also followed through accreditation concerns and resolutions made during the General Assembly. In this digital age where information is very vital, the need to have an annual update of data from the member schools was also viewed as an important matter to be given emphasis.

Dr. H.S. Wilson, the Executive Director of the Foundation for Theological Education in  Southeast Asia (FTESEA); and Dr. Kah-Jin Jeffrey Kuan, Chairperson of FTESEA Executive Committee were also present in the said meeting. They presented the new program focus and direction of the Foundation in 2018 in moving towards “greater and wider impact of theological education.”

The next board meeting will be on March 26-28, 2018 at UCCP Shalom Center, Manila Philippines.
